The SLCA will draw down Silver Lake the September 6, 2014 in order to perform necessary maintenance of our earthen dam.
YOU WILL WANT TO INSURE THAT YOUR WATER CRAFT ARE OFF THE LAKE BEFORE DRAW DOWN COMPLETES. The silt is similar to quicksand when the water is down – and craft stuck in the silt are extremely difficult to re-float! Once started, draw down time frames are depended on rainfall.
During draw down lake-front property owners often perform maintenance to their lake walls. If you plan repairs please share your plans with the board so we can check in before we allow the lake level to return to normal.
