My name is Kathy (Corl) Carroll. I currently live in Casa Grande, Az.
I was raised at Silver Lake first house on Cardinal Lane. I love your site and efforts to maintain the lake. I am 73 and you all bring back lots of memories, also love the pictures. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Kathy!
Hi Kathy,
Thanks for sharing your memories and kind words about Silver Lake.
We currently reside on Cardinal Lane. Do you remember your address?
We’d be happy to share photos of the lake and the neighborhood on Cardinal Lane
Kathy, I remember you and how you came to my house to play with my babies. My oldest is now 66 and the other 2 boys are 64 and 62. I still live at 832 Silver Lake Rd and have been widowed twice. I will be 85 soon. Unfortunately, the house where you lived is in very bad shape. It has been condemned by the Sewer Authority. No one is living there at present.
Blessings,
Carol (Spoonhour)Werning
Kathy Carroll, My name is Scotty Roberge, I’m the one who wrote the history of Siver Lake. Kathy has simply added her picture and actually, the important thing is that the History is where people can see it and learn. I would love to chat with you about the lake when you were here, Can you please send me a note with your email? I live at 521 West South Street, Carlisle PA, 17013. I’m a bit older than you and I would love to chat.
Thank you for your positive statements about the lake. We bought the Lookingbills property on Silver Lake Road. Have owned it now for over 40 years. Please send me a note. Scotty Roberge.
Kathy, I have a cottage at the lake too. On Silver Lake Road. I have written a history of the lake. (I am a genealogist at heart}. Do you have any old pictures of the lake that you could just take an iphone picture of and send to me? I would love to keep some kind of record of the lake at different stages of it’s life. Please send a message back to this website and I will get your email or text site. Thank you. I am in the Lookingbill’s cottage on Silver Lake Road. My name is Scotty
Kathy Carroll is my mother. I can get together w/ her and see if there are any photos remaining. She was one of six children raised there by my grandparents – Richard and Marjorie Corl. They lived in the first house on Cardinal Lane and I was just there 2 weeks ago and it looks to be condemned 🙁 I could never find who owned it to talk to them before it got so bad, no one every answered. My name is Kim and I have such fond memories of the lake as a child – ice skating, playing along the banks, etc. I stop by every chance I can when I get up that way as I live in western MD now.
